About QURIOS

An Olympiad that also shows what to learn next

Quotient ofUnderstanding,Reasoning &IdentificationOfStudent learning gaps

QURIOS is a national Olympiad by OrivaPlanet for Classes 6 to 10. It tests real understanding and reasoning in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning, not just memory. Students compete with others in their own class across India.

Every participant gets a chapter-by-chapter learning-gap report, so the Olympiad helps a child grow — whatever the rank.

Syllabus

What to prepare

Based on the NCERT / CBSE syllabus of the student's own class. Students of other boards will find the topics familiar.

Level 1: the topics below for your class. Level 2: the Level 1 syllabus of your class (70% of marks) and of the previous class (30%); Class 6 writes Level 2 on its own Level 1 syllabus.

Exam pattern

60 questions · 2 hours · 240 marks

The same pattern for Classes 6–10 and for both levels; questions are set separately for each class. Medium: English.

Multiple-answer questions score +5 only when every correct option is chosen and no wrong one; otherwise 0 (no negative marking).

For schools & institutes

Make your school an exam centre

Register once, add all your students, and conduct QURIOS at your own school.

1

Register the school

School name, address, board, principal and exam coordinator. QNO verifies the school and your Centre ID becomes active.

2

Add students & pay once

Upload one Excel / CSV file or add students one by one. ₹199 per student in a single payment. Every student gets a roll number and an admit card.

25

25+ students = exam centre

With 25 or more confirmed students your school becomes an official centre: both levels are written at school on OMR sheets, conducted by your coordinator. Below 25, students write online.

FAQ

Questions parents ask

Who can take QURIOS?

Any student in Class 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 in any board (CBSE, ICSE or State board), anywhere in India.

Do I need to go to an exam centre?

Students who register individually write both levels online: Level 1 on a laptop, tablet or phone, Level 2 on a laptop or desktop with a webcam (proctored). Students registered through a school with 25 or more confirmed students write both levels at their school on OMR sheets.

Which slot should I choose for Level 1?

Either — pick the time that suits you when you register (10 AM or 3 PM on 22 November). Percentiles are worked out inside each slot, so both are equally fair. Entry closes 30 minutes after the slot starts.

Who qualifies for Level 2?

The top 10% of each class across India in Level 1, plus the best student of every school who scores at least 40%. Qualified students see it when they log in on 30 November. There is no extra fee.

How are final ranks decided?

By Level 2 marks, separately for each class. Ties are broken by Maths marks, then fewer wrong answers, then Level 1 percentile.

Is there a practice test?

Yes, two kinds, both free. The All-India Mock Tests run on the real exam system in the exact exam pattern (60 questions, 2 hours, 240 marks) on fixed dates: Mock 1 (Level 1 pattern) on 15 November at 10 AM and Mock 2 (Level 2 pattern) on 6 December at 11 AM. They stay locked until then, everyone writes at the same time, and you see your score at once and the solutions when the mock closes. Quick practice tests are also open any time, with a skill report.

Can a school register all its students together?

Yes. The school registers first; after QNO verifies it, the coordinator uploads the student list (Excel or CSV) and pays once — ₹199 per student. Every student gets a roll number and admit card, and the centre login shows everyone's attendance and results.

Is the exam online or offline?

Both, depending on how you registered. Individual registrations: online for both levels. School registrations: at school on OMR sheets for both levels if the school has 25 or more confirmed students, otherwise online. The same roll number and admit card are used for both levels.

How do I see my result?

On this page under Results: choose the year and class and enter your roll number. In "My QURIOS" you can also see your answers against the answer key, raise an objection while the key is open, and download your certificate.

What happens if my internet goes off?

Your answers are saved on the device and on our server as you go. Log in again with the same Registration ID and continue — your clock keeps running from when you started.

Where can the scholarship be used?

On OrivaPlanet programme fees for the 2026–27 session: live 1:1 classes, smart books and the 3D Lab.

Seats are filling up. Register before 15 November.

One fee of ₹199 covers Level 1 and Level 2.
